Pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle in Wahiawa

WAHIAWA, HI- Honolulu EMS crews responded to an accident involving a pedestrian on Sunday, Hawaii News Now reports.

Officials said a man was struck by a vehicle in the vicinity of 174 Wilikina Drive in Wahiawa at about noon.

Paramedics rendered immediate aid to the victim, a man in his 50s.  He was initially in critical condition but died of his injuries on the way to the hospital, EMS said.  The man’s identity was not immediately released.

No details were released on the circumstances that led to the crash.
