HONOLULU, HI – Authorities said a collision in Honolulu Monday morning sent a motorcycle rider to the hospital.

A report by KITV states that the accident happened on Punahou Street at about 5:55 a.m.  An investigation found that the driver of a northbound truck was making a turn into a private driveway when the vehicle was struck by a motorcyclist going south on the street.

The motorcyclist, a 31-year-old Honolulu man, was listed in critical condition after being rushed to an area hospital.  The truck driver, a 64-year-old Honolulu man, was not injured.
