KAHUKU, HI – Honolulu police said a single-vehicle accident left a driver dead on Saturday night, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports.
Officers and paramedics were called to the scene on Kamehameha Highway in Kahuku. It was determined that a man was driving east when he slowed down and veered off the highway. The vehicle crashed into bushes along the road’s right shoulder.
The 76-year-old victim, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead after being taken to an area hospital.
