Woman seriously injured in single-vehicle crash in Kailua area

KAILUA, HI – A single-vehicle collision in the Kailua area on Sunday morning sent a woman to the hospital, KITV reported.

The crash took place at about 8:50 a.m. on Kahako Street, where Honolulu Emergency Medical Services responded to the accident scene.

The victim, a woman believed to be in her 20s, was thrown from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries. She was treated at the scene by EMS crews and then taken to a local emergency room in serious condition.

No details were released about what led to the crash.
