HONOLULU, HI – Authorities are investigating a collision in the Kaneohe area of Honolulu on Friday afternoon that left a woman dead, Hawaii News Now reports.
The accident took place along the H-3 Freeway near the Likelike Highway off-ramp at about 3:45 p.m. Police said the driver of a flatbed truck lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a vehicle parked on the right shoulder of the freeway.
A 22-year-old woman inside the parked vehicle died at the scene. The truck driver, a 24-year-old man, was not injured and stayed at the scene. Speed may have been a contributing factor in the incident, police said.
