Woman injured after driving vehicle off parking structure in Kakaako

HOOLULU, HI – The Honolulu Police Department is investigating a crash in Kakaako Wednesday morning that left a driver seriously injured.

According to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, the accident happened at a parking structure at 875 Waimanu Street shortly before 7:30 a.m.

Authorities said a 64-year-old woman drove her vehicle off the second story of the structure.   She was treated at the scene for multiple traumatic injuries and was then taken to an area trauma center.  The woman was listed in serious condition.

No other injuries were reported.   There were no further details on what led to the crash.
