HONOLULU, HI – Emergency crews were called to the scene of an accident in Honolulu Sunday morning that left a driver injured.
According to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, the incident happened at the 2100 block of Mahalo Street, where first responders arrived shortly after 10:30 a.m.
The Honolulu Fire Department said a woman drove off her vehicle off a ledge and ended up on the roof of a single-family home. The woman, who was reported to be in her 50s, was extricated from her vehicle after being initially trapped inside. She was treated by Honolulu Emergency Medical Services paramedics and was said to be in serious condition. No other injuries were reported.
Fire department crews worked to stabilize part of the house that was struck in the crash.
