Woman injured after being struck by car in downtown Honolulu

HONOLULU, HI – Paramedics rushed a pedestrian to the hospital after an accident in downtown Honolulu on Friday morning, reports the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

The victim, a 66-year-old woman, was hit by a car in the area of Nuuanu Street and North Kukui Street at about 9 a.m.  Honolulu Emergency Medical Services arrived at the scene and took her to an area trauma hospital, where she was listed in serious condition.

No other details were reported on the circumstances that led to the collision, or the driver involved.
