MA’ILI, HI – A pedestrian collision in the Ma’ili area on Sunday morning left a woman dead, according to KITV.
The 42-year-old victim was struck by a vehicle on Farrington Highway near Liliana Street at about 6:29 a.m. An initial investigation indicated that the woman was crossing Farrington Highway outside of a marked crosswalk when she was hit by a vehicle heading westbound.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital. The driver of the vehicle, age 50, and his passenger were not injured and stayed at the crash scene.
Investigators do not believe speed, drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in the incident.
