WAINAE, HI – A single-vehicle accident on Farrington Highway in Waianae Monday morning left two people injured, one critically.
According to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, Honolulu Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene in the vicinity of Leihoku Street after the crash occurred at about 8 a.m.
EMS officials said a 52-year-old woman crashed her car into a guardrail in the area. The woman was rushed to an area hospital, where she was listed in critical condition. Another woman in the car, age 39, sustained injuries that were not life-threatening and was treated at the scene.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash, which shut down one lane of Farrington Highway.
