HONOLULU, HI – Honolulu Emergency Medical Services crews were dispatched to an accident involving a moped on Sunday afternoon, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports.
The moped rider, a 27-year-old woman, was involved in a collision with a car in front of 2100 Kalakaua Avenue sometime after 4 p.m.
The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to an area hospital, where she was listed in serious condition. The rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, authorities said.
