Victim of Wahiawa motorcycle accident identified as 23-year-old Army corporal

WAHIAWA, HI – The victim of a deadly motorcycle accident in Wahiawa has been identified, reports the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office said the man killed in last Thursday morning’s crash was 23-year-old Brenan Godoy, an Army corporal assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks.

Police said Godoy was riding a motorcycle northbound on Wilikina Drive at a high rate of speed at about 5:45 a.m. when he broadsided a vehicle that was exiting a residential area and attempting to make a turn. Godoy was pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital. The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries.

Godoy was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, according to police.
