HONOLULU, HI – Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal wreck in Honolulu on the 4th of July, KITV reported.

The woman killed in the crash on the H-1 Freeway in Nuuanu was 28-year-old Savalivali L. Vivao of Honolulu, according to the Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office.

The single-vehicle accident took place shortly before 6 p.m. in the area of North School Street and Aala Street.  Police stated that a driver heading west on the freeway drifted to the left and crossed all lanes of traffic, then crashed into the concrete barrier median.

The driver, Vivao, died at the scene.  It was reported that she was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The freeway was shut down for about four hours while the scene was being cleared, causing traffic backups in the area.

Investigators said speed did not appear to have been a contributing factor in the incident but have yet to determine whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
