HONOLULU, HI – The victim of a pedestrian accident in Honolulu early Sunday morning has been identified, according to KITV.
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office said the man killed in the incident was 35-year-old Brandon Edwards of Honolulu.
The collision happened on North Nimitz Highway near the intersection with Lagoon Drive in the Airport area shortly after 5 a.m. Police said Edwards was lying in the roadway when he was struck by a pickup truck heading south on North Nimitz Highway.
He was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital by Honolulu Emergency Medical Services.
The manner of his death was determined to be an accident. The driver of the vehicle involved, a 64-year-old man, was not hurt and stayed at the scene.
