Traffic diverted following vehicle crash on Palani Road in Kailua-Kona

KAILUA-KONA, HI – The Hawaii Police Department issued a traffic advisory to motorists late Sunday night following an incident in Kailua-Kona.

The notification, issued shortly before 11 p.m., said that a vehicle crash had occurred near the Palani Road and Konalani Street intersection.  Some roads in the area were closed off and a detour of traffic was said to be required for a period of several hours.

Drivers were advised to avoid Palani Road and drive with caution due to the accident.  Road crews were at the scene to clear the wreck.  No injuries were immediately reported.
