Teenager injured when moped collides with vehicle in Nu‘uanu

HONOLULU, HI – A teenage moped rider was injured Friday night in a collision with a vehicle in Nu‘uanu, reports Hawaii News Now.

The incident took place in the area of Nu‘uanu Avenue and Robinson Lane at about 9:30 p.m.  Honolulu Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and rendered aid to the 18-year-old victim.

He was then transported to a local hospital and was listed in serious condition.  No other injuries were reported.

There was no immediate word on what led to the crash.
