Teen seriously injured in moped accident in Waimanalo

HONOLULU, HI – A teen was rushed to the hospital following a moped accident in the Waimanalo area last Wednesday.

According to KHON, paramedics with Honolulu EMS were called to the scene shortly before 5 p.m. on Hihimano Street.

The moped rider, an unidentified 17-year-old male, was taken to an area hospital with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.

Details concerning the cause of the crash are not mentioned in the report. Should any further information be made publicly available, this news blog will be updated.
