LAIE, HI – Honolulu police and utility crews were on the scene of a single-vehicle accident in Laie on Monday morning.
KITV Traffic issued an alert on the incident which occurred shortly after 3 a.m. It happened on Kamehameha Highway between Lanihuli Drive and Hale Laa Boulevard.
The driver involved in the crash was reported to be in good condition but the collision caused a power pole to be downed.
Kamehameha Highway was closed in the area as the Honolulu Police Department’s traffic accident investigation team responded to the wreck. Hawaiian Electric crews were also dispatched to make repairs to the pole.
