Rollover accident in Kailua sends 5 teenagers to hospital

HONOLULU, HI – Honolulu Emergency Medical Services was dispatched to a rollover crash early Sunday morning, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported.

A vehicle overturned at the intersection of Kalanianaole Highway and Auloa Road in Kailua, where EMS crews arrived at about 3:50 a.m.

A 17-year-old male and two 16-year-old females were seriously injured and taken to an area trauma hospital.  An 18-year-old male and a 16-year-old female were also hospitalized and were listed in stable condition.

A portion of Kalanianaole Highway was shut down at Auloa Road while the accident scene was being cleared.
