HONOKAA, HI – The victim of a fatal accident involving an all-terrain vehicle has been identified by authorities, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports.

Hawaii island police said the man killed in the Saturday night crash was 41-year-old Kasey Hui-Ahsam of Honokaa.

The incident took place on Mud Lane near Honoka’a Waipi’o Road at 11:35 p.m.  Police said Hui-Ahsam was driving northbound on a Honda four-wheel ATV towing a trailer.

The driver lost control of the vehicle and was ejected.  The ATV overturned, and Hui-Ahsam was pinned underneath.  He was pronounced dead less than an hour later. No one else was in the vehicle.

Police are investigating the fatal collision, and said they do not believe that speed, drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.
