KANEOHE, HI – A pickup truck accident in Kaneohe on Tuesday night left the driver seriously injured, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
The driver, a man in his 50s, crashed on Hui Iwa Street at about 7:30 p.m. It was reported that witnesses saw the truck hit a fire hydrant near Koolau Shopping Center, then go airborne over other cars before landing on its front side.
The Honolulu Police and Fire Departments were called to the scene, where firefighters extricated the driver from the pickup.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services arrived to render aid to the man, who was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.
