HONOLULU, HI – Police are investigating a hit-and-run collision in Honolulu’s McCully area that injured a pedestrian.

A release from the Honolulu Police Department said the March 1 incident happened on South King Street at about 1:15 a.m.

It was reported to the department’s Traffic Division that an unidentified motorist was traveling eastbound on South King Street when the vehicle struck a male pedestrian.  The pedestrian was crossing the street using a skateboard, outside of a marked crosswalk.  The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

The motorist kept going eastbound on South King Street without stopping to render aid or provide information, police said.
