HONOLULU, HI – A pedestrian was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle last Tuesday night in the Honolulu area, KITV reports.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services crews were dispatched to the scene on Nuuanu Avenue near the intersection of School Street at about 11:40 p.m.
The Honolulu Police Department’s investigation indicated that a man was walking across the road westbound outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a vehicle going south on Nuuanu Avenue. The man was hospitalized in critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle, a 52-year-old woman, and her passenger, a 35-year-old man, were not injured. They stayed at the scene.
Police do not believe speed, alcohol or drugs were contributing factor in the incident.
