HONOLULU, HI – A driver was killed in a car accident in the Kane’ohe area last week, Honolulu police said.
Investigators said the victim was driving westbound on Kea’ahala Road at about 9:35 p.m. Friday night when she veered to the right of the roadway and crashed into a utility pole.
The driver, a 53-year-old woman, was pronounced dead after being transported to an area hospital. Police said she was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The cause of the wreck is under investigation by the Honolulu Police Department’s Traffic Division in the vehicular homicide section.
