HONOLULU, HI – A person was extricated from a pickup truck after the vehicle crashed and overturned in Hawaii Kai, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
Over 15 Honolulu firefighters responded to the scene Thursday night after the incident occurred near the driveway of the Mawaena Kai town-home complex in the vicinity of Wailua Street shortly before 9:50 p.m.
First responders arrived to find the pickup truck on its side and a female trapped inside the vehicle. With the use of hydraulic rescue tools, the firefighters were able to free the victim.
Her medical care was transferred to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services, but no information was immediately available on her condition or what caused the crash.
