HONOLULU, HI – Honolulu paramedics and firefighters rushed to the scene of a paragliding accident on Tuesday afternoon, reports Hawaii News Now.
According to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services, a paraglider fell about 20 feet after taking off from the North Shore side of the Kaena Point trail at about 1:35 p.m. The victim, age 29, was reportedly not able to exit the trail on his own.
The paraglider suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a landing zone by the Honolulu Fire Department. From there, he was transferred to the care of EMS.
