News: Honolulu police officer struck by passing vehicle near airport

HONOLULU, HI – An accident on the H-1 freeway sent a Honolulu police officer to the hospital on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, the officer was hit by a passing vehicle near the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport.

The injuries to the 22-year-old officer were not reported to be life-threatening.  He was listed in stable condition after being transported to an area hospital.  No further details were released about the driver or vehicle that struck him.
