KALIHI, HI – Police in Honolulu are investigating a hit-and-run incident that left a bicycle rider critically injured, Hawaii News New reports.
Investigators said the bicyclist was riding on North King Street at about 11 p.m. Wednesday night when he was struck by a vehicle. The victim, a 49-year-old man, was transported to an area hospital and listed in critical condition.
The driver involved left the scene of the crash without stopping to help, according to police. Anyone with further information about the incident was asked to contact the Honolulu Police Department Traffic Division.
