HONOLULU, HI – Honolulu police are trying to track down the driver who struck a motorcyclist and left him critically injured.
Hawaii News Now reports the incident happened late Saturday night at the intersection of Kapiolani Boulevard and Kona Iki Street.
According to police, a man was riding a motorcycle east on Kapiolani Boulevard at about 11 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle. The 26-year-old victim was rushed to an area hospital where he was listed in critical condition. The motorcycle rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, investigators said.
The driver of the vehicle involved left the scene of the incident and was last seen going east on Kapiolani Boulevard. Anyone with information on the hit-and-run was asked to contact the Honolulu Police Department Traffic Division.
