News: 2 seriously injured when car crashes into store in Kapahulu

KAPAHULU, HI – Officials said a car plowed into a store in Honolulu Sunday afternoon, leaving two people injured.

According to Hawaii News Now, the accident happened at the Running Room at 819 Kapahulu Avenue in Kapahulu at about 12:30 p.m.  Witnesses said a motorist drove their car through the front of the store.  There was no immediate word on what led to the incident.

Honolulu EMS responded to the scene and took two people to an area trauma center with serious injuries, a man in his 60s and a woman in her 40s.

The crash was reported to have caused an estimated $15,000 in damage to the business.
