HONOLULU, HI – First responders were dispatched to a multi-vehicle collision in Kapolei on Thursday morning, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported.
The crash, which reportedly involved at least five cars, occurred in the eastbound lanes of the H-1 Freeway at the Wakea off-ramp at about 6:15 a.m.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services responded and treated four people who were injured, a 33-year-old man, a 35-year-old woman, a 15-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy. They were taken to an area hospital and listed in serious condition.
All eastbound lanes of the H-1 were shut down at the Wakea off-ramp during the accident response and investigation, and traffic was rerouted onto the ramp.
