HONOLULU, HI – A man was critically injured when his vehicle was involved in a crash in Honolulu early Saturday morning, KITV reported.
Authorities said the driver lost control of his vehicle at about 2:40 a.m., went up a slope and collided with a pole in the area of 48-110 Kamehameha Highway.
Honolulu Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services crews arrived to find the vehicle resting on a hillside. Firefighters used a hydraulic rescue tool to extricate the 32-year-old driver.
He was then transported by paramedics to an area hospital with serious injuries. There were no further details on the circumstances that led to the accident.
