Motorcyclist injured in crash with semi-truck on Kamehameha Highway

PEARL CITY, HI – Paramedics were called to a collision between a motorcycle and a semi-truck in Pearl City on Sunday night, KITV reports.

The crash took place at Kamehameha Highway near Waihona Street at about 7:20 p.m.  The motorcycle caught fire as a result.

The motorcyclist, a woman believed to be in her 20s, was treated by Honolulu Emergency Medical Services and transported to an area emergency room in serious condition.

She was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
