According to investigators, an HPD police officer was at a stop in the traffic lane of the Farrington Highway on-ramp at about 10:17 p.m. when his vehicle was struck by a motorcyclist who exited westbound off of Fort Weaver Road onto the ramp.
The 35-year-old motorcycle rider was ejected from the bike onto the roadway, and was taken to an area hospital in serious condition. The police officer was taken to an area hospital and reported to be in good condition.
