HONOLULU, HI – A collision on the H-1 Freeway in Honolulu sent a motorcycle rider to the hospital on Saturday morning, according to Hawaii News Now.
The motorcyclist, a 32-year-old man, was riding west on the freeway when the incident happened near Palama Street at about 3 a.m.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services said the rider was apparently hit by a vehicle, then crashed into a guardrail.
The motorcyclist was treated at the scene by EMS for multiple injuries, and was then taken to an area emergency room in serious condition. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, officials said.
