Motorcycle rider, 21, injured following crash with e-bicyclist in Kapolei

KAPOLEI, HI – A collision at an intersection in Kapolei sent a motorcycle rider to the hospital, reports KITV.

The motorcyclist was involved in a crash with an e-bike in the area of Puainako Street and Kapolei Parkway. Honolulu Emergency Medical Services crews arrived at the scene at about 5:30 p.m.

They took the 21-year-old motorcycle rider to an area hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.  He was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.  The 18-year-old e-bike rider, who was not wearing a helmet, was treated at the scene and did not go to the hospital.

No details were available yet on what led to the collision.
