Motorcycle collides with back of vehicle in Maili, injuring rider

MAILI, HI – A collision in Maili on Friday afternoon sent a motorcycle rider to the hospital, according to a KITV report.

The motorcyclist, a 25-year-old man, was involved in a crash in the vicinity of Farrington Highway and Hila Street at about 3:35 p.m.  Officials said he crashed into the back of a vehicle and was seriously injured.

Honolulu Emergency Medical Services rushed the man to an emergency room for treatment.  He was wearing a helmet at the time the accident happened.

No one else was injured in the incident, EMS reported.
