HONOLULU, HI – A collision in Kaimuki last week sent a moped rider to the hospital, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports.
The incident took place April 3 in the area of 6th Avenue and Kaimuki Avenue. Honolulu Emergency Medical Services responded at about 12:40 a.m. and found that the moped rider had been struck by a car.
The victim, a 31-year-old man, was rushed to an area hospital in serious condition with head and leg injuries. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, officials said.
