HONOLULU, HI – The Honolulu Police Department said a pedestrian was critically injured in a collision in the Aiea area last week.
A press release states that the crash happened Feb. 18 at about 5:50 a.m. on Moanalua Road near the intersection of Ualo Street.
A man was in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a driver going west on Moanalua Road, according to investigators. The pedestrian was transported by EMS to an area hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old male, was not injured.
Investigators do not believe that speed, drugs, or alcohol were contributing factors in the incident.
