Man seriously injured after crashing e-bicycle into stone wall in Kapolei

KAPOLEI, HI – A crash in Kapolei last week sent a bicycle rider to the hospital with serious injuries, reports the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

The victim, a 19-year-old man, was riding an e-bike on Kapolei Parkway near Koana Street Tuesday evening when the accident happened shortly before 7:30 p.m. Honolulu Emergency Medical Services was called to the scene and learned that the man had lost control of the bike before crashing into a stone wall.

He was taken to an area hospital with multiple injuries to his legs and shoulder, and was listed in serious condition. The bicyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, authorities said.
