KAILUA, HI – Paramedics were called to the scene of a serious motorcycle accident in Kailua on Sunday afternoon, reports KHON.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services said a man crashed his motorcycle into parked cars at the intersection of Hamakua Drive and Hahani Street shortly before 4 p.m.
The victim, a man in his 50s, was rushed to an area hospital where he was reported to be in critical condition. A man in his 30s who was sitting in one of the parked vehicles was evaluated and refused to be transported to the hospital.
Northbound Hamakua Drive was closed in the area while police were on the scene investigating the collision.
