LILIIHA, HI – A moped rider who was involved in a hit-and-run incident in Liliha died of his injuries, reports the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
The Honolulu Police Department learned that the victim of the March 7 crash, a 49-year-old man, passed away on Monday. Investigators say the man was riding a moped south on Liliha Street when he collided with one or multiple vehicles at the intersection with Holokahana Lane. He was rushed to an area hospital by paramedics.
The other vehicle or vehicles involved fled the scene without the driver stopping to help or provide information.
