EWA BEACH, HI – A motorcyclist was critically injured in a collision with a vehicle in the Ewa Beach area on Sunday morning, the Honolulu Police Department reported.
It was reported to the department’s Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section, that a man was riding a motorcycle northbound on Fort Weaver Road when the crash took place at about 10:40 a.m. The motorcycle rear-ended a vehicle driven by a 28-year-old man who was slowing down for a parked and unoccupied vehicle on the right shoulder of the road.
The motorcycle rider was ejected onto the roadway and was taken to an area hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
