HONOLULU, HI – A vehicle accident in Kaimuki on Saturday evening left a man critically injured, Hawaii News Now reports.
The Honolulu Police Department and Honolulu Emergency Medical Service were called to the scene on Waialae Avenue between 11th Avenue and Palolo Avenue.
Emergency crews arrived after the crash occurred just after 7 p.m. and came to the aid of the victim, a 40-year-old man. He was transported to an area hospital and was listed in critical condition.
No details were released on what led to the incident, which remains under investigation by police.
Lanes were partially shut down in the area while the wreck was being cleared and investigated. The roadway was reopened later in the evening.
