HONOLULU, HI – A car crash in the Punchbowl area of Honolulu Wednesday morning left a driver in critical condition, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reports.
The accident happened in the vicinity of Vineyard Boulevard and Pali Highway at about 6:36 a.m. According to police, a 56-year-old man was driving west on Vineyard Boulevard and trying to make a left turn when his vehicle went off the roadway and crashed into a traffic light pole.
The man was taken to an area hospital where he was listed in critical condition. He was wearing his seat belt at the time of the collision, police said, and was traveling at a low rate of speed.
