KAPOLEI, HI – Honolulu police and paramedics responded to the scene of a pedestrian accident in Kapolei last week, reports the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
It happened in the vicinity of Farrington Highway and Fort Barrette, where a man was hit by a vehicle early Thursday morning at about 4:45 a.m. According to investigators, the victim was hit by a southbound vehicle driven by a 30-year-old woman.
The pedestrian, reported to be a man in his 60s, was rushed to an area hospital by Honolulu Emergency Medical Services and was listed in critical condition.
The investigation indicated that speed, drugs, or alcohol were not believed to have contributed to the incident.
