PEARL CITY, HI – A driver was rushed to the hospital early Friday morning after his car was involved in a wreck in Pearl City, reports the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
Four units of the Honolulu Fire Department responded to the site of the crash on Kamehameha Highway near Kaahumanu Street at about 12:42 am.
They arrived to find that a 29-year-old man was trapped inside his vehicle. The firefighters stabilized the car and used hydraulic rescue tools to extricate the man, the only occupant of the vehicle.
He was treated by EMS for multiple injuries, and was hospitalized in serious condition. No other vehicles were involved in the incident, and no one else was hurt.
