HONOLULU, HI – The Hawaii Department of Transportation alerted drivers to expect delays on the H-1 Freeway on Tuesday morning.

According to the DOT’s post at 8:10 p.m., a vehicle fire blocked two right lanes on the freeway eastbound near Aloha Stadium.  Traffic was reported to be backed up past the Kaonohi Overpass.

The Honolulu Police Department and Honolulu Fire Department were both on the scene responding to the incident.  All lanes had reopened within about an hour but traffic was still moving slowly through the area.
