HAIKU, HI – Police identified a driver killed when her vehicle crashed in Haiku last week, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
The victim of the Oct. 31 wreck was 44-year-old Shelly Kan-Hai of Kahului, Maui police said.
Investigators learned that she was driving a 2015 Kia Sorento on West Kuiaha Road at about 5:55 a.m. when she veered off the roadway. The Kia hit a fence, rolled and overturned.
Kan-Hai was pronounced dead after being taken to Maui Memorial Medical Center. Her 2-year-old daughter, a passenger in the vehicle, was not injured.
