EWA BEACH, HI – Honolulu police were called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision in Ewa Beach on Monday afternoon, Hawaii News Now reports.
A driver going east on Iroquois Road struck a curb to her right near Keaunui Drive at about 12:35 p.m., investigators said. The driver veered into oncoming traffic and crashed into another vehicle head-on.
The two drivers had to be extricated from their vehicles. The driver of the second vehicle, a 27-year-old woman, was critically injured in the wreck. The driver of the first vehicle, a 19-year-old woman, was listed in serious condition while a 37-year-old man was in good condition. None of the victims was wearing a seat belt.
Police do not believe speed, drugs or alcohol were factors in the accident but did say it happened at a time when the roads were wet.
